Tourism and travels

The digital service Russpass has a new route "From the center to the outskirts: architectural histories of Moscow", including six locations.

Travelers will visit Moscow historical places of interest that obtained modern appearance.

You can start your walk on the Vorobyovy Gory — a site of natural, historical and cultural heritage. Here visitors will see the panorama of Moscow, and on the opposite bank of the Moskva River — modern sports complexes and public spaces.

The next stop is the Khudozhestvenny cinema that opened after restoration. Visitors will appreciate the recreated appearance of the building, special ambience and cinema equipment.

Then, the route will lead to the Moscow historical center. Travelers will visit the Khitrovskaya Square mentioned in the famous book "Moscow and Muscovites" by Vladimir Gilyarovsky. This square is inside the former White City and is surrounded by historical buildings, and the modern art quarter is not far.

The program will end at the Northern River Station. It opened after renovation last year. This station is recognized as a landmark building, and the public spaces around it are popular with Muscovites and visitors.

The route description specifies the approximate duration of the walk, and each user can customize the number and order of places to suit their interests and resources.

Russpass is a digital travel service that helps plan individual travel itineraries across Russia. Here one can buy aircraft and rail tickets, book accommodation, excursions and tours, as well as learn about interesting places to visit, and helpful services. More than 3,200 travel options are available here including tours and exclusive travel itineraries.

The service website was recently upgraded and mobile application for iOS and Android was launched. The site updated sections, added new useful options and increased the number of filters to search for current travel offers. The portal is adapted for mobile devices.

The service was developed on the Moscow Government initiative. The project implementation is supervised by the Moscow City Tourism Committee jointly with the Moscow Department of Information Technologies.
