Tourism and travels

In the capital, the summer navigation season opens on April 24. On this day, a traditional parade of vessels will be held on the Moskva River. In the new season, guests and city dwellers are waiting for their favorite excursions and new routes as well.

So, it is planned to launch a circular route from the Gorky Park pier with a U-turn at Zaryadye ,without intermediate stops. The trip will last 50 minutes. In addition, various thematic tours with quizzes are prepared.

Tourists are also offered a route with stops at five piers in the city center, audio guides in six languages, a telescopic roof for panoramic views and more than 50 attractions. Tours start every half hour. All tickets, both for 24 and 48 hours, can be purchased online.

"The opening of passenger navigation season represents the beginning of the summer tourist season in Moscow. River trips are particularly popular among city dwellers and guests of the capital. One of the main innovations of this season is water excursions in the Hop-On Hop-Off format.  A tourist, buying a ticket for 24 or 48 hours, gets the opportunity to go out at any provided stops, walk around the city, and then return to continue the water trip. This approach is in line with the best international practices and will make Moscow even more accessible and attractive city for tourists," Tatyana Sharshavitskaya, Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee said.

The digital service Ruspass will help you find out more about river trips. And on the media platform Moscow With You you can find a series of online excursions dedicated to unusual facts about the waterways of the capital.

Important attention is paid to the safety of tourists. Moscow has joined the international Safe Travels program. This is the first global travel safety initiative against the backdrop of the pandemic, launched by the World Travel and Tourism Council in 2020. The Safe Travels sign has already been received by the flotilla making trips on the Moscow River. This means that all vessels comply with the necessary sanitary requirements.

The Moscow berths and embankments are also ready for the navigation season opening. Specialists of the municipal utility service replaced the worn-out rubber fenders and carried out local repairs of the granite and concrete bases of the berths. In addition, they renewed the marking of the restriction lines and direction signs for boarding and disembarking.
