Three more interchange stations to appear on Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya metro line

The number of interchange stations on Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya metro line will reach nine, as reported by the Head of the City Department of Construction Andrei Bochkaryov.

'Six stations of Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya metro line are linked by transfers with other Moscow metro lines,' Andrei Bochkaryov said. 'After the commissioning of the Big Circle and Kommunarskaya lines, the number of interchange stations on the Orange Line will reach nine.'

Passengers will be able to change from Rizhskaya and Kaluzhskaya stations to Rzhevskaya and Vorontsovskaya stations of the Big Circle Line, and from Academicheskaya station to the same-name station of Kommunarskaya line. Rzhevskaya station, still under construction, will offer transfer to the Orange Metro Line and Moscow Central Diameters.

'Passengers will transfer from this station to Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya metro line and three MCDs: MCD-2, MCD-3 and MCD-4, currently under development and construction. There will be the largest transport interchange hub here,' added Andrei Bochkaryov.

In 2021, there will be 25 Big Circle Line stations in Moscow. Section from Khoroshevskaya to Karamyshevskaya station will be completed in 2020, with the section to Kakhovskaya station finished in 2021.

Passengers will be able to make 23 transfers from the Big Circle Line stations to other metro lines, four transfers to the Moscow Central Circle, 11 transfers to the railway lines and six transfers to the first two Moscow Central Diameters — MCD-1 Odintsovo— Lobnya and MCD-2 Nakhabino — Podolsk.
