November 20, 2020

Online concerts performed by the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra conducted by Pavel Kogan are available via the Committee for Tourism’s #Moscowwithyou media platform. The musicians perform works by laureates of the All-Russian Competition for Young Composers “Score”, which was first organised by the Foundation for the Development of Contemporary Art with the support of the Presidential Grants Foundation.

The first concert took place at the Vegas City Hall. The programme included “On the Horizon” by Andrey Kudryavtsev, mono-opera “Marina” by Dmitry Suvorov, a suite from the ballet “Tales of the East” by Sergei Prokudin-Lemeshev, “Concert with Jazz Colours” by Yevgeny Grigorovich, North Sea by Elena Weinberg, cinematographic suite Hyperion by Boris Vishnevsky and a suite from the film “Call Myshkin” by Olesya Berdnikova.

The second concert was recorded at the Grand Hall of the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatoire. Many works were performed including a fantasy for a symphony orchestra based on the drama of Eugene Ionesco, Andrei Besogonov’s concerto for 0basoon, Equilibrio by Anna Pospelova, and excerpts from the opera “The Prophetic Dream” by Alexei Chernakov.

Each concert lasts about two hours under the direction of Alexei Khodorchenkov.
