Smart city solutions Moscow to present at the Open Innovations Forum

Moscow specialists will present new digital solutions in education, culture, housing and communications, and technological business projects for the international  Open Innovations Forum, to be held 21 to 23 October in the Skolkovo Innovation Centre, according to Deputy Moscow Mayor Natalya Sergunina.

'Moscow will be extensively represented in the business and exhibition program. We will talk about the project for pilot testing of technological products, show a map of smart city innovative solutions. 25 Moscow companies will present their developments in education, medicine, security and other fields.

A series of events with the business community dedicated to the Moscow innovation ecosystem development are to take place as part of the business program of the Moscow Government.

21 October, Forum participants and guests will be presented with an updated online platform at the panel discussion 'Moscow innovation cluster: marketplace for technology entrepreneurs'. It has been developed for technology business of the widest profile: SMEs, manufacturing and research, for startups and well-developed companies.

According to Natalya Sergunina, Moscow innovation cluster is one of the priority urban projects in the field of new economy. It will be the chief topic of the Moscow program represented at the Open Innovations.

The project aims to unite the efforts of science, production and related industries. It is a platform for innovation and development of cooperation chains between startups, SMEs, large corporations, industrial enterprises, scientific and educational organisations, development institutions and the city.

The platform will accumulate the capabilities of Moscow's innovation infrastructure and the potential of all cluster participants. It will help to find customers, partners and investors, premises or equipment, missing components for mass production and much more.

In order for companies to check the viability of their developments and their compliance with the stated requirements, a service for finding pilot testing sites is to launch soon.

Besides, cluster residents will have access to more than 150 supportive measures from Moscow, federal authorities and development institutions.

On 23 October, the Тech Brunch 'Smart City — IT Community Platform' will be held. Russian and foreign entrepreneurs, investors and city representatives will discuss the most promising technological projects, the export of IT developments and the innovative infrastructure for business developed in Moscow.

Open Innovations Forum has been held annually since 2012 to develop and promote innovative technologies, get acquainted with technological projects, and promote international cooperation in the innovation field. The Forum includes exhibitions, educational events, business meetings, master classes and lectures.

This year Forum is themed 'Digital nation. Transfer to intellectual economy'. The three-day program includes more than 150 sessions to bring together some 600 speakers from 90 countries, including Google Play Director Purnima Kochikar, Microsoft Vice President Steve Crown, Hitachi R&D Group CEO Takeda Kenichi, SAP SE Co-Innovation Lab Head Rudolf Held, Bain & Company Digital Transformation Director Laurent-Pierre Baculard and others.
