Since the beginning of the year, 20 more Moskva-2020 trains have started to run in the metro. Today, their total number reaches 65, of which 33 run on the metro Circle Line and 32 trains — on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya radial line. The fleet of cars on the Circle Line was renovated by more than 80 percent, and on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya metro line, taking into account the Moskva trains, by almost 50 percent.

Since 2010, the metro rolling stock has been replenished with 3,700 cars. The share of new generation trains today is more than 65 percent.

By the end of 2023, the park of the capital subway is planned to be renovated by about 80 percent. By the end of 2023, about 850 cars will be put into operation. Thus, from 2010 to 2023, the fleet will receive 4,549 cars.

The new generation trains include several types of rolling stock, including Rusich, Oka, Moskva and Moskva-2020. The latter type is the newest one, it is equipped with wider doors and passageways than other cars. There are automatic air disinfection systems, USB charging between the seats.

It is planned to completely renovate the rolling stock on the Circle Line this year by launching the Moskva-2020 trains, and in 2023 — on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya line. More than 1.7 million passengers on both lines will be able to use the new trains every day. Moscow will have the youngest fleet of metro cars in comparison with the subways of Europe and America.
