The first component of the coronavirus vaccine was administered to more than a million Muscovites. Sergei Sobyanin informed thereof in his blog.

“Recently, the number of Muscovites having administered the first component of the coronavirus vaccine exceeded one million people. Over 820 000 residents of the city have been fully vaccinated. Almost 45 percent of those who have been vaccinated are Muscovites over the age of 60, for whom protection from the virus is most important”, the Mayor of Moscow said.

Moscow has a sufficient supply of the COVID-19 vaccine. One can get vaccinated in one of the 100 inpatient centers opened in polyclinics. The patients are vaccinated every day. In addition, mobile teams work in large shopping centers.

“This week, we started vaccination at homes for people with limited mobility — customers of city social services who find it difficult to come to the polyclinic,” Sergei Sobyanin added. “Our vaccine has proven its reliability and safety. Among the million Muscovites who have been vaccinated, there are only a few cases of those getting ill.”

According to him, vaccination is the only way to return to normal life, so you should not postpone this procedure.

Vaccination takes about 40 minutes: 10-15 minutes are required for a medical check-up and the vaccination itself, the next 30 minutes are taken by a post-vaccination examination. On the day of the first vaccination, the doctor, in agreement with the patient, sets a date for the second phase of vaccination — in 21 days.
