Moscow is presenting the Russpass portal during the 2020 Otdykh Leisure international travel forum taking place until 10 September, according to Deputy Moscow Mayor Natalya Sergunina.

“Our Russian and foreign colleagues are learning about the opportunities and advantages offered by this online service. We will be happy to receive feedback from those who are already using Russpass – that is, the travel agencies, hotels, excursion companies and cultural centres from dozens of the Russian regions,” Natalya Sergunina commented.

Representatives from 30 Russian regions and six countries including Spain, Bulgaria and Cuba are attending the 2020 Otdykh Leisure forum taking place at the Skolkovo Innovation Centre until 10 September.

More projects at Moscow stand

Moscow’s multimedia stand is designed to resemble an outdoor café and cinema with an interactive Russpass media panel. The Moscow Tourism Committee (Mostourism)  is presenting more than 20 video clips about Moscow, its culture, gastronomic scene, festivals, theatres and local residents.

A motivation session titled “A conversation with leaders: your vision of the tourism industry” took place on 8 September. The session involved industry experts, including Mostourism representatives, who discussed development trends and the industry’s recovery after the pandemic.

A business session titled “New opportunities and collaborations in tourism” was also held. The session focused on solutions and services that help travelers to simplify many routine tasks. The Russpass platform is one example of such solutions. Its convenience is being demonstrated using the experience of the Russian regions as well as tourist firms.

During the 9 September session, “Be win-to-win: youth as a point of growth for the travel industry,” experts will speak about tourist products specifically targeting young people as well as about educational tourism.

Russpass is a digital tourism platform that helps people plan a customised itinerary for destinations in Russia. Travellers can use the service to book flights or train tickets, guided tours, museum visits and theatre performances, as well as to learn about places worth seeing and useful tips.

Developed at the initiative of the Moscow City Government, the platform is supervised by the Moscow Tourism Committee and the Moscow Department of Information Technology.
