Parks and pedestrian areas

This winter, 39 snow slides and tube runs will open in Moscow parks of the Moscow Department of Culture. Ride on sleds, snow tubes and toboggans in Bauman Garden, Sokolniki, Izmailovsky, Tagansky, Lianozovsky parks, Kolomenskoye and Tsaritsyno museum reserves and 21 recreation areas.

'Some slides will be arranged on natural slopes after they get covered with snow. Others will be made of wooden and metal structures. Besides, 50-Letiya Oktyabrya Park and the green area between Shipilovsky Proyezd and Kashirskoye Highway will have two all-weather special surface slides,' told the Press Service of Mosgorpark.

18 recreation areas will offer free winter slides. You can bring your own sleds, snow tubes and toboggans or rent one on the spot.

Bring a sled and good mood

Ride free in Izmailovsky Park on five round-the-clock slides. You will find two 20 m and 10 m long metal structures at the entrance to the Park from Sokolinaya Gora station of the Moscow Central Circle. They are safe for even the youngest visitors. Two more slides are mounted in the alley in the northern part of the Park. There will be a new wooden slide to the right of Zabava Amusement Park. Find toboggan and snow tube rental points at the small Ferris Wheel and next to the entrance from Sokolinaya Gora station. Find details soon in the Park's social media accounts after the slides' launch.

Sokolniki Park will soon open a 5 m high snow slide near the Youth Centre, with two lanes and a 50 m long slide. It will be open daily 10:00 am till 09:00 pm. Find a rental spot within walking distance. A 3 m high and 20 m long slide is mounted next to the tennis court in the Bauman Garden. Bring your tube or rent it. The slide is open 11:00 am till 08: 00 pm.

In Lianozovsky Park, look for a free slide to the left of the dance floor. It is a 3 m high and 9 m long wooden structure, open 07:00 am till 11:00 pm, no rental point available. Similar slides will be open 24/7 in Goncharovsky Park next to the volleyball court, in the Altufyevo Estate  on the playground and in the Angarskiye Prudy Park between Big and Small ponds. Bring your own toboggans.

24/7 natural slides will appear in Kuzminki Park and Sadovniki Park next to the cafes. Here you can rent a tube or ride your sled or toboggan.

Ride a tubing slide with artificial grass

Any day soon, an all-weather slide will open on the green area between Shipilovsky Proyezd and Kashirskoye Highway. It has a special SnowPlast brush coating looking like artificial grass. Ride this slide in any weather. In winter, the brush coating holds the snow, but even without it, you will enjoy a nice smooth ride. Rent a special tube with a plastic base to avoid damaging the coating. If you have this kind of tube, you can ride free.

Another 24/7 all-season run will be launched in 50-Letiya Oktyabrya Park. You will find it to the right of the entrance from Prospekt Vernadskogo metro station. 'Vsepogorka' will be open daily 10:00 am till 10:00 pm. You have to buy a ticket. Find a rental on the spot.

Paid tubing runs will be available in 13 parks. In particular, one of them will appear in Tsaritsyno Museum Reserve. It is a natural 120 m long slide in a ravine next to the Large Bridge. Ride a tubing slide with a view of the Bread House 11:00 am till 10:00 pm on weekdays and 10:00 am till 09:00 pm on weekends. You can rent gear on the spot.
