Performers from Europe to join Journey to Christmas

Journey to Christmas venue on Manezhnaya Square is about the biggest fairs of European cities. Shows by performing teams from different European countries will add to the festive spirit. Enjoy performances by Dulce Compania Theatre (Germany), The Tivoli Youth Guard drummers, TDA Vektors dance band (Latvia) and folk musicians from the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

28 to 30 December, stilt-walkers and mimes of the Dulce Compania German street theatre will show their programmes. Participate in the interactive show of mischievous Christmas clowns Mr. and Mrs. Pepper at 03:00 pm, 05:00 pm and 08:00 pm. This theatre company has been travelling around the world since 2003. They perform in signature bright glowing costumes.

TDA Vektors dance band is popular and loved both in and far beyond Latvia. Artists stand out by their authenticity and respect for national traditions. This team will perform at Manezhnaya Square on 3 and 4 January, 03:00 pm and 05:00 pm. Venue guests will both watch traditional Latvian dances, and learn some of them.

The Tivoli Youth Guard (Denmark) shows will take place on 5 and 6 January, 03:00 pm and 05:00 pm. Young performers will wear bear hats and bright red uniforms. Founded in 1844, today the Tivoli Youth Guard is an elite music school for girls and boys aged 8-16. Children are to show their best programmes.

On 6, 7 and 8 January, guests will be entertained by folk singer Vlasta Mudrikova with a band of musicians from Slovakia and the Czech Republic. This band will inspire guests with energetic pieces, adding to festive mood. The show starts at 05:00 pm and 08:00 pm.

Journey to Christmas is the largest winter festival in Europe and the most popular Moscow Seasons festivity. Last year, it had 18.6 million visitors. The new Journey to Christmas season runs from 13 December till 12 January, with venues located both in the centre of Moscow and in the districts and city parks. The festival offers a diverse entertaining programme, open winter sports training sessions, Christmas treats and unique souvenirs.
