Parking in Moscow to be free on 12 June

On Russia Day, you may enjoy free parking. On 12 June, car drivers may leave their cars in any street, including Moscow parking space area.

"Russia Day will be celebrated in various Moscow venues. On 12 June, parking in Moscow streets will be free, so Moscow citizens and guests can take advantage of leaving their cars near holiday venues. Free parking in Moscow streets will not affect the traffic, since the intensity of traffic during holiday is usually reduced," Deputy Moscow Mayor, Head of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development Maxim Liksutov said.

Paid at-grade parking lots with auto barriers will operate as usual at current rates.

For convenience of passengers, the schedule of commuter trains will the adjusted to Russia Day celebration. Schedule changes will affect all directions of the Moscow railway. On 11 June, all trains will follow Friday schedule (it has more trains going in the region direction), and on 12 June, trains are to follow Sunday schedule  (when more trains go in Moscow direction). Due to changes in the schedule, it will be easier for passengers to plan their trips.
