One of the Journey to Christmas pavilions opens Tourist Information Centre

One of the Journey to Christmas pavilions on Manezhnaya Square has opened a Tourist Information Centre for travellers to learn about the brightest events and Moscow attractions.

Besides, tourists can get free Moscow maps in two formats (A3 and folding pocket-size) with the key attraction points, as well as brochure guides 'Moscow: Sightseeing', 'Around Moscow with Children', 'Moscow: Events and Culture'. The content for the maps has been developed by the Moscow City Tourism Committee and translated into Russian, English and Chinese.

There are also maps with routes starting at VDNKh, and Tsaritsyno Museum Reserve, State Historical Museum, Jewish Museum and the Tolerance Centre, Moscow cable car, Panorama 360 observation deck, Moskvarium and Zaryadye Park brochures.

'The Centre's agents will answer questions in Russian and English such as how to pay the metro fare and get to the airport, how to get from one point to another and where to rent skates. Also, experts will tell about the brightest city events and best Journey to Christmas venues,' said the Press Service of the Moscow City Tourism Committee.

The Information Centre next to the Moscow Museum of Archaeology will be open daily until 12 January 11:00 am till 09:00 pm on weekdays, 10:00 am till 10:00 pm on weekends and holidays.

The annual winter festival Journey to Christmas launched on 13 December. This year, Moscow will have about 80 festival venues in different Moscow districts.  The main festivities will traditionally take place on Manezhnaya and Red squares, Novy Arbat Street and others.  The venues will be open daily until 12 January, 11:00 am till 09:00 pm on weekdays, 10:00 am till 10:00 pm on weekends and holidays.
