The Novoslobodskaya metro station lobby of the Circle Line will be closed for one year. From 21 November, passengers will enter and exit the station via Mendeleyevskaya. Meanwhile, trains will continue to stop at Novoslobodskaya and passengers will be able to change to the Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya Line.

The station concourse, or entrance hall, will be renovated and the escalators replaced. There will be four escalators instead of three. The current escalators have been used at the station since 1952. The new ones will be quieter, faster and have greater capacity.

The Belorusskaya, Mayakovskaya and Dostoyevskaya stations will continue to be available as an alternative during the project period.
