After the opening of all sections of the Big Circle Line (BCL), only the newest Moscow-2020 trains will service it, more than 100 trains in total.

“Only the new series Moscow-2020 metro trains will service the Big Circle Line, in accordance with the instructions of the Moscow Mayor. In total, there are more than 100 trains, more than 800 cars will transport BCL passengers every day once this line is finished,” Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Moscow Mayor for Transport, said.

The modern train "Moscow-2020" surpasses many world analogues in terms of comfort. The Moscow-2020 doorway is up to 23 percent wider.

“Only this train has smoke detectors, interactive displays for navigation. Also each car has two climate control units with air disinfection, and there are five times more USB charges than in the trains of the previous series,” the deputy mayor said.

One and a half times more Moskva-2020 trains in the metro

The Moscow last-gen trains received the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2021 for the best design. The international jury unanimously gave the highest rating in the Trains and Planes categories.
