The eighth Romanian Master of Informatics international contest has come to an end. Moscow school students won five gold and two silver awards. For the third time in a row, they won the team competition.

Gold award winners include Anton Sadovnichy (Second School Lyceum), Timofei Fedoseyev (School of the Centre of Teaching Excellence), Igor Loginov (School of the Centre of Teaching Excellence), Egor Lifar (Advanced Educational Scientific Centre – Kolmogorov Boarding School of Lomonosov Moscow State University) and Fyodor Ushakov (School No. 2007). Silver awards went to Denis Mustafin ( Second School Lyceum) and Dmitry Umnov (School of the Centre of Teaching Excellence).

This year, the Olympiad was held online. On 2–4 December, schoolchildren from 14 countries competed for the awards. Eight teams represented Russia.

The Romanian Master of Informatics has been held annually since 2011. Moscow schoolchildren participate in it as part of training before major international competitions. The online Centre of Teaching Excellence helps them prepare for the competitions. For this purpose, pupils use the website informatics.msk.ru, which is planned to be integrated into the Moscow e-school.

At the end of November, Muscovites received two gold and three silver awards at the Bulgarian Tournament in Informatics, and in September, two Moscow schoolchildren won gold and silver at the International Olympiad in Informatics.
