Moscow’s largest skating rink will be opened at VDNKh on 26 November. On that day visitors can enjoy theatre performances, ice shows, interactive programmes and DJ sets.  The entertainment programme starts at  17:00. The theme of the new season is “Magic Winter”.

“The skating rink at VDNKh will operate from 26 November to 27 February 2022. Once again it will be the largest rink in Moscow. The area of artificial ice rink itself exceeds 20 thousand square meters, while the total area including all the infrastructure makes 53 thousand square meters,” said Natalya Sergunina, deputy Moscow Mayor.

The visitors can skate along the ice tracks from Pavilion 1 Central to Pavilion 58 Agriculture, including the tracks around the famous Friendship of Peoples and Stone Flower fountains. A smaller arena (900 sqm) will be arranged for children aged three to eight years. It will be opened on 27 November.

Programme of the Season

On weekdays the rink will be open from 11:00 to 23:00, on weekends and holidays — from 10:00 to 23:00. Service break will last from 15:00 to 17:00. Changing rooms, two skate sharpening stations, a medical facility, nine outdoor food stalls and a restaurant were prepared for citizens and tourists. The infrastructure facilities will also include three main skate rental pavilions, one rental station for children and an express pavilion for visitors with their own skates.

Sport exercise sessions and dance classes will be held every week. Besides, skating excursions  dedicated to the history and architecture of the exhibition will be resumed. All the information about the upcoming events will be published on VDNKh website.

The rink and all the infrastructure facilities will operate in full compliance with current sanitary regulations. Tickets will be available online on the exhibition’s official website. When purchasing a ticket, you need to select the time and pavilion for entrance. This will ensure even distribution of the flow of people at rental stations and at the ice rink itself. Disinfecting frames will be installed at the entrance and temperature of visitors will be measured. Skates and other accessories will be also properly treated and sanitized. The rink visitors will keep social distance and wear masks while being inside.

New services have been prepared for the visitors this year. These include season passes and open-ended tickets, discounts for organized groups (more than 50 people), special offers for members of VdNKh Friends loyalty programme.
