The Moscow booth set up by the Moscow Committee for Tourism won the Best Creative Award for the best creative presentation of the tourism carrying capacity at the Beijing International Tourism Expo (BITE). In total, 2,100 works from 87 countries took part in the exhibition.

The Moscow booth was both an informational and an entertainment venue. Visitors could paint a two-meter high matryoshka doll together with a professional artist, participate in a lottery, and take a VR tour around Moscow. A Moscow map with its major attractions, a gourmet guide and a travel guide in English and Chinese have been made specially for the exhibition.

Besides, the exhibition hosted a business programme, where Moscow experts discussed  tourism development with tourism businesses from the People's Republic of China and Southeast Asia.

This is the second award Moscow has won during the two weeks of international tourism forums in the Asian region. In June, Moscow presented its tourism programme at SITIF 2019 in Seoul (South Korea), and received the award for the best booth design.

BITE has been held since 1994. It is the largest international tourism exhibition in the region. Its target audience is representatives of tour operators, hotel business, air and service companies. Over the three days, the exhibition has been attended by more than 30,000 tourism industry representatives and 150,000 visitors.
