Moscow in bloom: Museon Arts Park to host Moscow Flower Show Festival

July 12

10 through 21 July, the Museon Arts Park is to host Moscow Flower Show 2019, 8th International Festival of Gardens and Flowers.

This year, Russia's biggest landscape event is about theatre. Leading Russian and international designers will present their landscape design works.

In addition, the festival will host Topi-Art, a topiary art competition attended by Russian and foreign participants.

For the first time in the history of Moscow Flower Show, garden masterpieces are to be created by famous Russian fashion designers. Valentin Yudashkin, Alena Akhmadullina, Igor Gulyaev, Vyacheslav Zaitsev and others will put their creative ideas into practice. The project was named 'Garden Parade'.

The winners will be chosen by a competent international jury, traditionally headed by James Alexander-Sinclair, a judge from the Royal Horticultural Society (UK), with Princess Marie-Sol de La Tour d'Auvergne, Vice-President of the Foundation for Parks and Gardens of France, and other experts to assess the competing works.

The festival programme will be complemented by lectures, seminars and training sessions. The organisers also invite young visitors to take part in game master classes, and to join the 'Flower Planet', a competition of children's projects. Children are to create a garden according to their drawings. The contest's theme is 'The World I Love'.
