From 16 until 30 December at VDNKh you can learn how to stay confidently on board keeping balance as well as to slide from obstacles easily and to brake on time. These days, a free snowboarding school will operate at the exhibition’s territory. Classes will be available for adults and children aged 12 and older.

An artificial slope with hills, obstacles and other elements will be constructed near the summer cinema-lecture hall at the square behind the pavilion No.62. Its height will be 9 meters and the length of the track — 70 meters. The classes will run every day from 11:00 till 21:00, all necessary equipment is available for free at the site.

Professional instructors will teach beginners the basics of snowboarding. Experienced amateurs can perfect their skills at the slope and to learn jibbing (tricks at the special constructions and hills) with the help of instructors. There is no need to register to go for lessons. Boarders take turns to go to the slope. Six people at a time can go down the artificial slope on boards.

Snowboarding lessons as well as other activities at VDNKh are held in the COVID-free format. Visitors over the age of 18 must present a QR code proving that you were vaccinated or recovered, or have a negative PCR test, and an identity document. Visitors at the age of 12-18 must go to the slope accompanied by adults.

Those who want to watch the sports competition as a fan are invited to the site on 18 and 25 December. On these days, from 12:00 till 20:00 there will be a jib-contest — competitions in jumping and tricks at various constructions with the participation of professional snowboarders who will fight for the title of the best sportsman in this discipline. Masters of snowboarding, such as Denis Bonus Leontiev, Sergey Tarakanov, Nikita Sekh, Maxim Piven, Mikhail Ilin, will take part at the competitions. Popular DJs will provide background music.
