Free parking spaces to be available during New Year holidays

During New Year holidays, 1 to 8 January, parking in Moscow will be free of charge. Leave your car in any street of Moscow included in the city parking space zone. You will still have to pay the usual fee for surface parking spots with barriers.

Drivers are advised to be cautious and mind the road and parking rules. Do not leave your car in wrong places.

How the traffic scheme is to change in the centre during New Year holidays

28 December till 6 January, the traffic scheme will change in the centre of Moscow due to major Journey to Christmas events, with concerts, performances and master classes held.

From 02:00 am 28 December till 10:00 pm 6 January 2020, the following sections will be pedestrianised:

— Tverskaya Street (from Tverskoi Boulevard to Mokhovaya Street);

— Mokhovaya Street (from Vozdvizhenka to Tverskaya streets);

— Okhotny Ryad Street (from Mokhovaya Street to Teatralny Proyezd);

— Teatralny Proyezd (from Okhotny Ryad to Petrovka streets).

Car traffic will also be shut off in Maly Gnezdnikovsky, Leontiyevsky, Gazetny, Nikitsky, Glinishchevsky and Bryusov pereuloks.
