The city will offer free parking on 22-23 February in honor of Defender of the Fatherland Day, according to Deputy Moscow Mayor Maxim Liksutov, Head of the City Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development.
Drivers will not have to pay maximum parking rates or 380 roubles per hour, with gated car parks being the only exception.
“Be extra careful during the holidays, park your cars in authorised areas only, and observe traffic regulations,” Mr Liksutov added.
On Sunday, 21 February, these car parks will operate as usual. Drivers will be able to park free of charge almost everywhere, except facilities with maximum rates.
A mobile app called Moscow Parking helps users pay parking fees, correct mistakes, and monitor expenses and fines. Anyone with questions on paid parking can call + 7 (495) 539 5454 or 3210.
