Autumn in the parks: Muscovites are invited to attend concerts and performances

Ten parks of the Moscow Department of Culture offer to enjoy organ music and opera, see flamenco dance, or take your child to a children's performance.

Around 70 various events are expected in Moscow parks until the end of autumn. Citizens are welcome to attend concerts, performances and children's insightful and game programs,' said Natalya Sergunina, Deputy Moscow Mayor.

Quartet festival

Fili Park invites to the Quatrofest 2019 music festival, which is already in full swing at the Fili Hall Exhibition Centre. What is special about the event is that only teams of four people may take part.

On 24 and 31 October, starting at 07:00 pm, Sirinsk flute quartet and Maimonides Academy guitarists will perform. Admission is free.

Kolomenskoye Museum Reserve will offer musical performances at the Theatrical Mansion Concert Hall of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich's Palace. On 25 October, pieces by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov and Modest Mussorgsky will be played as part of the festival 'From Old Romances to the World Music Gems' by the winners of international competitions Valeria Bushuyeva (soprano), Irina Dubkova (mezzo-soprano), Daria Ionkina (piano), Pavel and Sofia Bulayenko (piano), Zaure Zharova (violin) and Valeria Poeta (piano). Get your free tickets at the entrance to the Theatrical Mansion hall an hour before the event to start at 06:30 pm.

On 25 October, 07:30 pm, Tagansky Park offers a free performance based on Oscar Wilde's novel 'The Picture of Dorian Gray'. Spectators are in for the story of beauty and ugliness, love and hate, honour and meanness. You will find the audience hall on the second floor of the office building (to the left of the Park's entrance) in 40/42 Taganskaya Street.

On 26 October at 07:00 pm, Kolomenskoye hosts the concert 'Spanish Flamenco. Magic of Rhythm, Music and Dance'. Guitar player Gleb Okunev, singer Alejandro Reyes, and dancers Stepan Pribytko and Lyubov Krayushkina will take the stage of the Theatrical Mansion. Have a fun weekend with your kids

Svetlyachok (Firefly) Children's Entertainment Centre in Izmailovsky Park will host performances on Saturdays, and animation programs with clowns on Sundays. On 26 October, 04:00 pm till 05:00 pm, children will watch a caution tale 'Commotion in the Kitchen Garden' to learn why it is so important to be honest and hardworking. Children aged 4-11 are welcome to watch the performances. Admission is free, no registration is required. Find detailed information on the Park's website.

Funny Bell House is open to young guests in the Bauman Garden. A small theatre (for 20 seats) is located next to the main children's playground. The theatre offers productions for any taste: from performances based on classic children's books to works by contemporary authors. Some performances involve children. You are welcome to enjoy performances on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Izmailovsky Recreation and Entertainment Park

In particular, on 26 October, the theatre will show 'Mouse House Strauss' play for children aged 3 to 6. This is a story about boisterous mice that set off on a great journey. It starts at 11:00 am and 01:00 pm. On the same day, at 05:00 pm, 9+ children can watch this year's premiere 'Non-Ancient Greece'. This is a semi-fictional story about the adventures of a 6th form student Borya Vasilkov in Hellas.

On 27 October, at 12:30 pm,  kids over 1 year old can enjoy a 'Caterpillar' puppet show. At the end of the performance, children together with their parents and theatre actors will  take part in a workshop to make beautiful butterflies.

Northern Tushino Park invites to watch children's puppet shows in the submarine showroom of the Naval History Museum. On 27 October at 11:30 am, the audience will watch the play 'At the Blue Sea'. Together with the main characters, children will get into the underwater world to meet the sea king, shark, octopus and other aquatic inhabitants.

On 10 November at 11:30 am, the Park will hold an insightful electric show 'The Fixies Vs Energy Glutton'. The show will help children to understand how to handle electrical appliances. All performances are paid.

Listen to the best works of Paganini, Brahms and Mussorgsky

Two concerts will take place in the Izmailovo Estate. On 27 October at 03:00 pm, Under the Arches Hall hosts a concert of a flutist Anna Suyetina and guitarist Dmitry Andreyev to perform works by Paganini, Giuliani, Piazzolla and other composers. On 10 November at 03:00 pm, Park guests will hear Johann Sebastian Bach's Brandenburg Concertos  performed by the Helikon Opera orchestra.

Lyublino Estate is to host concerts in the Pink Hall of the Durasov's Palace. On 27 October, 04:00 pm, you will hear the concert from the 'Romantic Melodies' series. Winners of international competitions Denis Kozminykh (saxophone) and Nadezhda Kuleshova (piano) will perform the best works of Brahms, Mussorgsky, Eshpai and Piazzolla. Tickets are available on the website of the integrated Museum Reserve (Kolomenskoye, Izmailovo and Lyublino).

Concerts for connoisseurs of various genres, including instrumental classics and choral singing, will take place in Tsaritsyno Museum Reserve. The next performance is to start at 05:00 pm on 19 October at the Bread House Atrium. The program includes pieces by Vivaldi, Bach and Brahms performed by the winners of international competitions. Tickets are available at the Museum Reserve's website.

25 October at 07:00 pm, Kazakovsky Hall of the Grand Palace hosts an unusual program Jazz vs the Beatles. Musicians will perform selected classical and modern jazz pieces, and author's versions of The Beatles hits. Tickets are available at the Museum Reserve's website.

This autumn, Moscow parks also offer handicraft and sports clubs, and series of lectures. Free classes for everyone will be held until the end of November. Needlework fans are welcome to join the handicraft club 'The City of All Trades" in Park Pobedy on Poklonnaya Gora. Floorball training sessions (one bandy varieties) will take place in Angarskiye Prudy Park.
