Since the beginning of the year, Moscow metro has launched 30 advanced Moskva trains. In total, Moscow metro has now 132 innovative trains running on Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya, Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya, Filyovskaya, Sokolnicheskaya, Nekrasovskaya, Solntsevskaya and Big Circle lines.

Since 2017, Moskva trains have been running both on the busiest metro lines, and on new branches, such as Solntsevskaya and Nekrasovskaya.

"Innovative trains are gradually replacing the previous ones. Over the two years, Moskva trains have ranked among TOP 3 most widespread metro trains, with Oka and Nomernoi trains leading so far. Oka trains run on Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya, Kalininskaya, Solntsevskaya and Big Circle lines, and the most numerous trains in the metro history, Nomernoi trains, run on Sokolnicheskaya, Zamoskvoretskaya, Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya and Lublinsko-Dmitrovskaya lines," said Deputy Moscow Mayor, Head of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development Maxim Liksutov.

By the end of the year, 39 more Moskva trains are to start running on Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya, Sokolnicheskaya, Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya and Nekrasovskaya lines.

26 of these trains are to be upgraded. Moskva-2019 trains boast many advantages. In particular, they are equipped with dynamic braking to standstill. Previous modification trains also had dynamic braking, but only up to 7 km per hour. Thanks to the new system, trains will be coming to a standstill more smoothly.

Upgraded trains have larger HD screens above the doors. It is easier to see the name of the station above the doors. There are new hex-shaped handrails mounted on the ceiling, next to the doors. These handrails do not take up much space, and they are helpful for those standing at the door ready to alight. The seats are softer now, they are upholstered with cut- and water-resistant fabric.

Moskva-2019 trains retain all advantages of the previous versions: they are designed with gangways between all the carriages, wider door openings and wheelchair spaces in the control cars. Additionally, passengers can use USB ports to charge their gadgets or use wall-mounted touchscreens to find a station, map a route or calculate travel time. The new generation trains are more capacious, and they feature soundproofing and air conditioning systems.
