Economy and entrepreneurship

Since 2016, Moscow entrepreneurs have received almost 500,000 consultations from experts of the state-funded institution Moscow Small Business, Deputy Moscow Mayor Natalya Sergunina announced.

“Last year alone, entrepreneurs had over 133,000 consultations, and over the past five years, the number of consultations totalled 494,000. The most common questions relate to benefits and support measures in the city, execution of legal and tax documents, and participation in educational programmes, industry conferences and business accelerators,” said Natalya Sergunina.

Consulting is one of the key activities of Moscow Small Business, and this type of service is popular among the city’s business community, said Alexei Fursin, Head of Moscow’s Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development.

“Businesspeople were most interested in various types of support, including financial support, as well as accounting and tax issues,” said Alexei Fursin.

In 2020, the hotline, which began operating in March, played an important role in the consulting support system for entrepreneurs. Businesspeople could ask questions by phone or fill out a questionnaire on the website.

Throughout the year, the contact centre’s experts talked about how to get subsidies and loans at preferential rates and helped deal with legal and tax issues. The consultants discussed the issues of each entrepreneur on an individual basis and advised on what support measures to seek. Since the launch of the hotline, 18,900 calls and requests received through the website have been processed.

How to get a consultation

The experts are ready to answer questions from entrepreneurs:

- by phone: +7 (495) 225-14-14, from Monday to Thursday –  9 am to 6 pm, on Friday –9 am to 4.45 pm;

- online: at the Moscow Small Business website, where you can also use other products for doing business and find detailed information on various support measures, including financial, property and educational support. Entrepreneurs were consulted over 4,600 times in 2020.

You can also get a consultation during a visit to one of the business service centres located in different administrative areas of Moscow. Some of them have extended hours: seven days a week from 10 am to 10 pm. Such centres are located in the My Documents offices in the Central, Southern, Southwestern and Eastern administrative areas. Another business service centre operates at inter-district office No. 46 of the Federal Taxation Service.

At the business service centres located in the My Documents offices or at the tax office, you can solve issues related to starting your own business in the One-Stop-Shop Service mode. Specialists will help you prepare a set of documents for obtaining the status of an individual entrepreneur or opening a limited liability company, and submit the documents for registration.
