All entertainment programmes cancelled at city venues on 12 February

All entertainment programmes at the Moscow Maslenitsa festival and the city’s other venues have been cancelled today, Sergei Sobyanin said on his Twitter page.

All entertainment programmes at Masletnitsa Festival and other city venues cancelled today due to the air crash.

Moscow Maslenitsa educational workshops will proceed as  planned. Trade and places selling food will remain open.

Entertainment events were cancelled due to the An-148 crash. The plane was on Flight 703 from Domodedovo to Orsk and crashed in the Ramensky District, Moscow Region outside the village of Stepanovskoye. According to the latest reports, 11 Moscow residents were killed in the accident. Their families will be financially helped with a one-time bereavement payment. 

The city has helped to arrange free accommodation and food, and also psychological help for the relatives of the air crash victims who are arriving in Moscow from other regions.
