40 Moscow educational facilities in Russia’s top 100

Moscow has taken first place in the ranking of educational facilities according to WorldSkills Russia. The top 100 includes 39 colleges and one university. Last year there were 27 Moscow colleges and 17 in 2017.

“Moscow students’ active participation in WorldSkills events and their results do not only confirm the high quality of Moscow’s professional education but set new heights and standards of professional training of experts demanded in the city. Moscow is developing and upgrading the training system, updating the colleges’ material base and improving the skills of teachers and experts in vocational education. The results can easily be seen: 39 colleges and one university are on the list of the best educational facilities in Russia, compared with 27 Moscow colleges in 2018 and 17 in 2017,” said Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Moscow Mayor for Social Development.

Moscow students have been taking part in WorldSkills championships and have passed demonstration exams with flying colours, while teachers are certified WorldSkills experts.

Moscow educational facilities in the top 100 according to WorldSkills Russia 

The 2019 top 100 of the best educational facilities were announced at the eighth Young Professionals national championships (WorldSkills Russia). This year, the championships in Moscow started on 6 September and will continue up to the 21st. The capital is represented by a team of 294 school pupils and university students taking part in competitions in 198 competences.

Last year Moscow students set a record at WorldSkills winning 92 gold metals, in addition to 22 silvers and 22 bronzes.
