35 stations and 76 kilometers of Moscow metro lines will open by the end of 2024. Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Moscow Mayor in the Moscow Government for Urban Development Policy and Construction, spoke about this.

“During the remaining months of this year, it is planned to complete the construction of 17.5 kilometers of metro lines and nine stations in Moscow, as well as complete the reconstruction of the Kakhovskaya station. In the next three years, it is planned to build another 58.5 kilometers of lines and 25 stations,” he added.

Completion of the construction of the Big Circle Line (BCL) of the metro remains a priority task for Moscow. At the same time, according to the Deputy Mayor, the construction of the new Troitskaya line, the extension of the existing Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya line to Vnukovo airport, Sokolnicheskaya line to Potapovo station, and the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line to the Severny village will be continued.

“In addition, we will begin construction of new Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya and Biryulevskaya metro lines, as well as an extension to the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line to Golyanovo,” Andrei Bochkarev said.

The development of transport infrastructure is the largest section of the Targeted Investment Program (TIP) for 2022–2024, which was approved by Sergei Sobyanin. In addition to the construction of new lines and stations, the program provides the commissioning of three Moscow metro depots.
