'Vladimir Yankilevsky. Monument Heroïque' at Multimedia Art Museum

Multimedia Art Museum is running the exhibition of Vladimir Yankilevsky, a Soviet artist, one of the participants of the famous '30 Years of MOSKh' (Moscow Regional Union of Artists), the exhibition sharply criticised by Nikita Khrushchev in 1962.

Vladimir Yankilevsky is an expressionist, a chief innovator in Moscow unofficial art. He became the first Soviet artist whose works were acquired by the Georges Pompidou Centre. His paintings, sculptures and other art objects are both deeply emotional, and intellectual; they centre around the interaction of male and female principles, embodying the world harmony.

You will see the reconstructed exhibition of Vladimir Yankilevsky’s ‘Monument Heroïque’ ('Heroic Monument'), which took place in 1994 at La Base in Paris. This exhibition had brought together all the artist's styles and series of works.
