Suprematism

In 1915 in Petrograd (St. Petersburg) Kazimir Malevich exhibited his first series of paintings called ‘Suprematism Painting’ at the Last Futurist Exhibition 0,10. He believed that Suprematism is the highest and the first stage in modern art development (from Latin supremus – ‘the highest’). The lecture focuses on avant-garde ideology of 1910s in Russia and continuity of this ideology.
