Shukhov. Formula of Architecture

This exhibition will be the biggest showing of Shukhov’s art for the last 25 years. Curators of the project are aimed at the research of Shukhov’s engineer method and his contribution to the development of architectural design in Europe. The exposition is built on two Shukhov’s innovative inventions: steel mesh floors and hyperboloid type structures.



The exposition will include drawings, mock-ups, photographs related to the construction of pavilions of the All-Russian Art and Industrial Exhibition of 1896 in Nizhny Novgorod, as well as unique manuscripts of Shukhov himself.



The exposition will take 7 halls of the Museum's Enfilade and present over 300 objects, many of which will be shown to the public for the first time.
