Immersive Avant Garde masterpieces

The Tretyakov Gallery and VRTech Group have teamed up to create a fully immersive virtual reality exhibition featuring the work of Kazimir Malevich and Natalia Goncharova (1881–1962), founders of Russia’s avant garde movement, as well as the head of the Imperial Academy’s landscape workshop, Ivan Shishkin (1832–1898), who was a painter closely associated with Russia’s Peredvizhniki movement. Works of legendary Norwegian painter Edvard Munch are also included.

On donning a special VR headset, you’ll suddenly find yourself in the artists’ studios, where you’ll not only witness their masterpieces being made, but also be able to join in the process and create your own works of art! The Tretyakov Gallery has fully embraced a global trend towards interactivity, trying to help visitors experience art in a more impactful and memorable way with the help of cutting edge VR technology.

The quantity of tickets is limited, so it’s better to buy them in advance at the gallery’s official website
