Ice Rink and Savomovar Tea on Tverskaya Square

Making its debut at the Journey to Christmas Festival this year is a large 1,600-m2 ice skating rink on Tverskaya Square, where you can skate to your heart’s content with family and friends, attend fun ice parties, and take pictures in front of beautifully decorated Christmas trees and a dazzlingly illuminated arch.

You can enter with your own skates for free, or rent them for just 50 rubles, with a 2,000 ruble deposit. Both children’s and adult skates, sizes 27-47, are available. There is also a workshop for sharpening skates, as well as a comfortable locker room.

After working up an appetite on the ice, you can visit the venue’s restaurant chalets, where you’ll find hot cabbage soup, stewed meat, and delicious vegetable dishes. Or, for a quick snack, try a waffle cone filled with pork, Christmas sausage with pear, or traditional doughnuts with powdered sugar. And wash it all down with tea from a samovar or fragrant cocoa!
