From Durer to Matisse. Selected drawings from the collection of Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts

The exhibition, that includes about 170 works, covers five centuries of the history of European drawing – from the late XV to the mid-XX century. The Museum's rich collection of 27,000 drawings includes the best examples of different national schools – Italian, French, German, Dutch, Flemish and Russian. The visitors will see rarely exhibited drawings by many outstanding artists, representing the variety of graphic techniques, different drawing manners, and how the aesthetics of drawing has changed over the centuries.
