Sup Regatta on the Moscow River

Everyone can come take part in a sup surfing parade!

Sup surfing is becoming more and more popular all over the world, and Russia is no exception! On September 7 and 8, a Sup Regatta for all sup surfing fans will parade down the Moscow River's Vodootvodny Canal as part of City Day celebrations. The event is free to attend, and surfers of all ages are welcome!* On the first day (September 7, 12pm), there will be an orientation/training session, and, on the second (September 8, 12 pm), a competition. Winners will receive valuable prizes!

*Participants under 18 can take part with parental supervision.

The sup surfing fleet will launch from a venue on the Ozerkovskaya Embankment and cruise along the Sadovnicheskaya and Bolotnaya Embankments, floating past Zurab Tsereteli’s Peter the Great monument, before returning to the starting point. The route will cover 12 kilometers! It’s estimated that about 300 people will take part in the contest.

What you need to participate:

1. A good mood, of course!

2. Your own sup board

4. A medical certificate (the same as for marathons)

5. To send an application

Attention, please: One sup board can be used by one person only, except for children, who are allowed to accompany family members.
