Salvador Dali. Magical art

From January 28 to March 25, 2020, exhibition 'Salvador Dali. Magical Art' will be open in Manezh, that has no equals in Russia in its scale and number of masterpieces. The exhibition includes more than 180 works by Dali: paintings, drawings and engravings. By exhibition 'Salvador Dali. Magical Art', Faberge Museum and the Cultural and Historical Foundation 'Connection of Times' continue to represent in Moscow the most famous and influential artists of the XX century. Such a large-scale exhibition of works by Salvador Dali will be shown in Russia for the first time. The exhibition is based on works from the collections of Gala-Salvador Dali Foundation and National Museum 'Queen Sofia Art Center'. The exhibition also includes 2 cinema halls and a brightly decorated lounge area.

The exhibition provides an opportunity to trace the long art life of Salvador Dali, to explore all stages of his development as a painter. The exhibition collects paintings from youthful impressionistic landscapes of the 1910s to the last canvases of the 1980s. Dali's mature work, his surreal and nuclear-mystical periods are represented at the exhibition by the most famous works: 'Invisible man' (1929-32), 'Sense of speed' (1931), 'Soft self-portrait with fried bacon' (1941), 'Uranium-atomic melancholic idyll' (1945), 'Dematerialization under the nose of Nero' (1947), 'Maximum speed of Raphael's Madonna' (1954) and other masterpieces that reveal the unique author's style of Dali and made him world renowned.

Artist and writer, surrealist and classic, an outrageous and extraordinarily deep person — this is how Salvador Dali appears to the Russian audience, and his 'magic ar' serves as a guide to the worlds created by him.
