Queen: Greatest Hits at the State Kremlin Palace

At the State Kremlin Palace, the Russian Philharmonic Moscow City Symphony Orchestra will bring to life the vision of legendary Freddie Mercury with a performance of all the songs from his Barcelona album. The concert will mark the 30th anniversary of this legendary album, as well as the 85th anniversary of the birth of opera singer Montserrat Caballe, who collaborated with Mercury on the record.

Barcelona was the last solo album released by Mercury during his lifetime. The Queen frontman dreamt of performing every song on the album together with a symphonic orchestra, but never lived to do so.

Apart from the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra, performers will include Swedish rock singers Magnus Backlund and Johan Boding as well as a Bolshoi Theatre soloist Darya Zykova. They will perform every song on Barcelona, as well as Queen’s greatest hits - We are the Champions, Bohemian Rhapsody, Don’t Stop Me Now, We Will Rock You and The Show Must Go On.
