(Not) Time for Love

Ten stories of couples in love who survived the Holocaust is the basis of the exhibition of the Jewish Museum and the center for tolerance. Memories of weddings and dates in the ghetto, forbidden gifts, mutual care and dreams of home and family — in all of this, the curator of the exhibition sees a new angle for talking about trauma and a new language for representing individual memory. Honest stories from diaries, memoirs and biographical novels, without no middlemen involved, told by concentration camp prisoners and their children, grandchildren and invited biographers are one of the best ways to look at the terrible events of world history.
