Musica Viva Orchestra at Zaryadye Concert Hall

Musica Viva Moscow Chamber Orchestra will hit the stage of Zaryadye Concert Hall. Alexei Lyubimov (piano), Julian Milkis (clarinet) and Emir Martirosyan (cello) will perform pieces by two composers − Valentin Silvestrov and Giya Kancheli. Guests will be able to enjoy Serenade for String Orchestra, Two Serenades for Two Cellos, Night Prayers for Clarinet and Strings, and other compositions.

Alexander Rudin serves as the orchestra’s artistic director, conductor and soloist.

Musica Viva was founded in 1978 by violinist and conductor Viktor Kornachev. At first it had only nine members. In 1988, the ensemble had grown into an orchestra headed by Alexander Rudin, who gave it the name Musica Viva (“live music” in Latin). Over the past 10 years, the orchestra has been successfully creating ambitious projects – operas in concert form and oratorios involving outstanding foreign singers and conductors.
