‘Lagrange Streets’ in the Lumière Brothers Photography Center

The Lumière Brothers Photography Center opens a new season with an anniversary Vladimir Lagrange exhibition. Pictures by this Soviet and Russian photographer have become a symbol of the Thaw of the 1960s. In these classic Soviet art works, Vladimir Lagrange showed the life of ordinary people. He had a gift to feel the atmosphere of a particular time.

The exhibition will present over a hundred photographs made by Vladimir Lagrange in the 1960-1990s. Viewers will observe how Russia was changing from the period of Thaw to Perestroika. You will see both popular Lagrange's works such as 'Grandma' (1961), 'Goalkeeper' (1961), 'Doves of Peace' (1962), 'Young Ballerinas' (1962), and some less known ones.
