International collage exhibition in Bauman Garden

Bauman Garden will host the Collage Garden international collage exhibition. The exhibition will feature a “garden,” with the “seedlings” (paper collages) sent in by artists from all over the world via mail.

The Collage Garden is an international art project that unites collage artists from all over the world. The idea belongs to Norwegian artist Miss.printed, who staged the first show. The second garden appeared in the Netherlands under the guidance of collage artist Juliette Pestel. Susan Lerner was the curator of the third exhibition in New York.

In Moscow, the show is organised by Olga Kirsanova, the founder of the Rezh da Klei (Cut and Glue) community of Russian collage artists. In over 20 cities of Russia, artists met to make “seedlings” for the future garden. Over 190 people from 18 countries have sent in some 600 works.

The Moscow garden will consist of two parts: The Concrete Jungle Book featuring the collages made by the participants, and a display of collage installations.

The exhibition will open at 3 pm on 18 August.
