Free Flight

New Tretyakov Gallery starts new stage – launch of the site in the Western wing to hold major interdisciplinary exhibitions related to the search of urgent subjects and meanings in contemporary art, embodied by new plastic means. The first project in this space–Free Flight–was organized jointly with AZ Museum. Exhibition ‘Free Flight’ associates with each other works of painting, graphics and sculpture by Soviet nonconformist artists from the collections of the Moscow Museum AZ and great Russian film director Andrei Tarkovsky. Architecture of the exhibition is designed specifically for the halls of the Western wing of the New Tretyakov Gallery and will be one of the largest and most impressive presentations of works of unofficial artists.
