Christmas bakery at Mitino Landscape Park

A Journey to Christmas venue will open at Mitino Landscape Park. At the Christmas bakery, festivalgoers will be able to learn more about holiday recipes of various nations, learn to cook Christmas-themed desserts, build gingerbread houses, and decorate gingerbread cookies.

The bakery will be hosting workshops on decorating the table for the holidays, making chocolates and many other holiday desserts, including the Nutcracker cake, the Snow Maiden dessert, and the Snow Queen glazed cake.

In the Christmas Treats photo zone, visitors will be able to take pictures against a background of gingerbread cookies, Christmas cakes, candy canes and gingerbread houses, plus attend a pastry chef’s lecture on desserts.

Festivalgoers will also be able to enjoy various games, on-ice contests and an ice skating show.

The venue’s stage will feature performances by various theatre groups, as well as concerts by musicians and cover bands.

Moscow’s main winter festival Journey to Christmas will be held between 14 December 2018 and 13 January 2019. A total of 78 festival venues found all over the city will offer entertainment for the entire family: spectacular ballet on ice shows, performances by Russian and European theatre troupes, concerts by popular musicians, elaborate art objects, festive Christmas trees, sports games, workshops and tours. Shopping chalets will offer Muscovites designer Christmas tree toys and unusual gifts.
